After several days spent doing some major Amsterdamage sponsoring and exhibiting at both Avid Connect Europe and IBC 2014, Team PSE has returned to the good ol' US of A. Thank you to all who met with us at either of these events! Here's a quick recap of our wild week:
Avid Connect Europe
Our first stop was Hotel Okura on Sept. 11 where we once again were proud to sponsor Avid Connect Europe - an exclusive gathering of the Avid Customer Association (ACA) and global media leaders. Highlights included sponsoring the first instance of Avid’s ‘Audio Collaboration in the Cloud’ session and premiering our new About Us video. This was the second Avid Connect event we've sponsored, so it was great to see so many familiar faces as well as plenty of new ones. We were especially excited to spend some time with Louis Hernandez, Jr., President & CEO of Avid, who stopped by the Pro Sound Effects® booth to catch up and shoot some presidential handshake photos!

IBC 2014
Next we headed over to RAI Amsterdam for IBC 2014 - the only peer-reviewed, non-commercial conference for the global electronic media and entertainment industry. As one of 1,500 exhibitors with over 55,000 attendees from 170 different countries, it goes without saying that it was an incredible experience.
We got to meet with clients and distribution partners from around the world and see our sound effects featured repeatedly (8 time per day) in the ‘Audio Collaboration in the Cloud’ demo at Avid’s booth. To top things off, Douglas Price ran into Robert Rodriguez who was presenting at Avid's booth and getting ready for his European tour to promote Sin City 2! Coincidentally, Team PSE is a huge Rodriguez fan and Troublemaker Studios happens to be a PSE Client!
For us, this event truly nourished a more global perspective on our niche (but strong) industry …that is, while we weren’t ogling the sleepy masses occupying the oversized bean bag chairs at RAI’s beach bar.

Again, thanks to everyone who came out to these events - we had a blast.
