GDC 2014 Wrap-Up

I was out at the Game Devel­op­ers Con­fer­ence (GDC) in San Fran­cisco last week­end, and boy did I have me a blast! It was great to meet new and inter­est­ing peo­ple and see some famil­iar faces in the game audio world. But by far the high­light of the week was get­ting to meet, in-person, so many peo­ple who I’ve known only via phone, email, and social media up until now.

Notably, there were long-time clients, Ben Minto (EA Dice), and Jay Wat­ford (Riot Games). Not to men­tion an absolutely STELLAR show­ing by PSE Hybrid Library own­ers! I had the plea­sure of spend­ing some time with Andy Lackey (Wabi Sabi Sound), Richard Lud­low (Hexany Audio), and Mar­tin Kvale (Krill­bite). And big ups to Richard and fel­low HL Owner Chris Rick­wood (Rick­wood Music) for their Audio Track Ses­sion talks, and Robin Arnott (Wraughk Audio Design) for his fea­tured inde­pen­dent game!
