Sonic Arts Awards 2014 Winners Announced

Another PSE-sponsored sound competition has decided its winners! This time it’s the Sonic Arts Awards 2014 with their second annual contest aimed at the production and promotion of sonic arts at an international level.

First prize (€1,000.00) in the competition’s four categories went to the following entrants:

Sound Art:  David Hochgatterer – Time To X

Sonic Research:  Matija Strnisa – Particles of Accordeon

Soundscapes:  Anna Raimondo – La vie en bleu

Digital Art:  Tim Murray-Browne – The Cave Of Sounds

Two-week residencies were awarded to Matteo Marangoni at Cardelli & Fontana Contemporary Art Gallery in Sarzana and also to Eli Keszler at Caos Museum in Terni.

The Label Prize was awarded to Duane Pitre by FRATTO9 Records. Pitre will release an album to be included in the label’s catalogue.
