Wolf Howl Sound Effect to Assemble the Pack

March 28, 2013 by David Forshee in Sound Of The Day

It was a full moon last night, and depending on your location, you might have been lucky enough to hear one of these wolf howls.

Wolves howl for a number of reasons, most commonly to assemble the pack before a hunt. In perfect conditions, their howls can be heard within an area of up to 50 square miles! Wolves in packs will even harmonize with each other, to make the pack sound more numerous that they actually are.

This wolf howl sound effect comes from the Clack Sound Effects Library, and is available on our individual downloads site.
