Unmuffled: Rare Automobile Recording in Sweden by Ken Skoglund

We just received an update from Ken Skoglund, feature film and tv sound designer who also happens to be and one of our exclusive publishers—the brains behind the Sound Control SE Library. He has made a new automobile recording.

Our Swedish colleague has been staying local for work on a feature entitled Eskil & Trinidad, from Sonet Film & SFI. The project's been over a year in the making, with mixing starting last January.

The above shot is an inside look at just one of the toys he's had the chance to play with: a 1966 Saab with a 3 cylinder 2-stroke engine. Ken says he's been recording with and without the muffler. The latter should make for some commotion, but by the looks of things it's easy to imagine this rare auto would be a rather stealthy vehicle coasting through all that near-Nordic powder.
